More penguins.

Posted on 4th February, 2012

Just to correct my previous blog - a group of penguins is not called a pickupa of penguins. I have just learned that the name for a group of penguins changes by location. The all encompassing term is a colony, a group of nesting penguins is a rookery, and a group of penguins on land are called a waddle.

I like waddle of penguins but if we all call them a pickupa of penguins and teach this to our children can we create a new word? Try, I´m going to.

Is that spelt 'p p p p p p pick-u-up' a Penguin?

Think the Collins Dictionary needs a update :)
