Ahoyhoy,
If the title to this entry worries you imagine what it is like here in Goiania, Brazil thousands of miles from home with a bike that can barely move its own weight (question mark)
Anyway the day started well. I repositioned the rear wheel and there is still some movement for the slackening chain but the rear sproket looks like it has fought a battle and lost - it has many missing teeth. We went for mooch about enjoying the briliant architecture of Brasilia.
The national museum (of alien visitation)
The cathedral (honouring roast crown of lamb)
and the temple of Boa Vontade (the tiled pyramid)
After this little bit of culture we headed for Paraguay. Sir Humphrey´s fuelling-power problem was there but I managed to ride around it. For the first 120miles I only needed to reset him twice. Alas this didn´t hold out when we entered the huge city of Guiania. Sir Humphrey turned into a popping and crackling old man. At times he even conked out unable to sustain himself at tickover. He woudl always restart and very slowly we made our way to the KTM dealer as detailed on the KTM website. KTM BASTARDS! The dealer didn´t even exist! After time at two other bike shops I ended up at Voar, THE bike shop in Goinania and beyond where he is under the diligent care of Wuerker, the head mechanic. He has taken him apart and found some muck but we won´t know until tomorrow if the trip is over or still a going concern until tomorrow.

The sick Sir Humphrey was at least in classy company - that is a Repsol Fireblade on the right
The fuel pump before being dissassembled
I feel like I´m waiting for a friend to come out of surgery and to find out if the operation was a sucess. I am an anxious Tigger. I am spending the night with Renato (who works at Voar) and his family being fed on homemade cheese and icecream so I am worrying in comfort.
I´ll let you know when I do. Fingers crossed.
TTFN,
Terrified Tigger
